Constitution of the Philosophy of Time Society

1.Membership is free and open to all.

2. Officers of PTS are the President, Vice-President and Secretary, whose duties are as described below. The term of office for each position is three years. 

3. Transitions from one PTS team to the next shall proceed as follows. A) At the end of a three-year PTS term, members may self-nominate for an office by emailing the current President. B) If there is more than one candidate for a given office, the current PTS officers announce the candidates and invite members to express support for one candidate per office. C) The current officers then make the new appointments, giving due consideration to the members’ input.

Duties of the officers are as follows:

President: Assemble and direct program committee; receive submissions for APA meetings; make final decisions on submissions; promote Society in profession; sit on steering committee of IAPT.

Vice President: Manage web site, newsletter, and membership list; review submissions; sit on steering committee of IAPT.

Secretary: Manage calendar of communications and calls for abstracts; review submissions.
